Farah Nabulsi’s THE TEACHER, which had its world premiere at TIFF in 2023, a powerful feature that traces the moral weight carried by a Palestinian educator navigating occupation and loss. A Palestinian school teacher struggles to reconcile his risky commitment to political resistance with his emotional support for one of his students and the chance of a new relationship with a volunteer worker.
Deeply Rooted is a film series that centers the voices and lives of Palestinians, complemented by readings, panelists, and in-person discussion. Committed to offering an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, inclusive space, and invites you to come as you are. Attendees are asked to mask for these events.
