Homemade electronics, salvaged materials and devices that support technology-- the artworks in this exhibition playfully investigate perception, illusion and the promises and dreams of science.  Denton Fredrickson, Robyn Moody, and Brian McKenna feature.  Also on show is an ambitious sculptural project by Ernest Daetwyler.  Barn Raising will turn tradition on its head and make you look twice!
 
Workshop:  Are you up to the challenge? Students will meld drawing skills and employ top-secret scientific processes to explore future possibilities!

Something About Time, A Geomorphic Fantasy and Materialscape

Explore notions of geography, time, and popular culture.  Colwyn Griffith's captivating sculpture-based photographs will feature along with the works of abstract painter Robert Linsley.  Don't miss the chance to see artist in residence, Michelle Allard in production. 

Workshop:  Think outside the box! Students will use surprising materials in this innovative collage-based workshop while reflecting on their own ideas about geography and culture.

In its 36th year, Expressions showcases the diverse talents of young artists in Waterloo Region.
