For the collaboration with KW|AG, && Collective will respond to the ideas and approaches in the sciencefictionsciencefair exhibition with a focus on electronics, sounds and experimental hybrids while underscoring humour and nostalgia. Central to their installation will be a "re-manufacturing facility" for the fictional Ampersand Co, a nod to both Canadian conceptual art pioneer Iain Baxter& and the region's rich manufacturing history. As the project evolves, the Collective will create and brand their hybrid goods. Numerous activities, events, online video content and ephemera will also be generated to expand the project beyond the gallery walls. Watch our website for information and updates on activities related to this project.
