Michelle Allard in Residence

Jan 21 - Mar 20, 2011

Vancouver-based Michelle Allard negotiates processes of accumulation and transition by employing cardboard, plastics, packaging and shipping-related materials in the creation of elaborate sculptures and installations that call to mind spectacular mineral formations. Like a form of baroque geology, Allard's works reside somewhere between ornament and practical abstraction.  Allard will be in residence for two weeks in January to produce a new installation for our Eastman Gallery. Check back often for more information on events and programs related to this residency.
